This Cookie Policy explains how PresentRead uses cookies and browser storage. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

PresentRead is operated by an independent individual, not a company. Questions about cookies can be sent to privacy@presentread.com.

PresentRead uses a first-party cookie named presentread_consent to remember whether a visitor accepted or declined optional analytics. The cookie lasts for 90 days and is used only to store that choice.

If a visitor accepts the cookie banner, PresentRead may initialize PostHog analytics to understand aggregate product usage, such as visits and feature interactions.

If a visitor declines, optional analytics is not initialized. Declining still stores the presentread_consent cookie so the site can remember the decline choice.

PresentRead may use browser local storage for local-only product features, such as saving books to a shelf in the visitor's browser. Local storage is controlled by the browser and can be cleared by the visitor.

When a visitor follows a book link to Amazon or another third-party site, that site may use its own cookies and tracking technologies. PresentRead does not control cookies used by third-party sites.

Visitors can change their PresentRead cookie choice by clearing cookies for the site in their browser and visiting PresentRead again. Browser settings may also allow visitors to block or delete cookies.
